LTIMindtree on Friday said that it has been awarded the ‘Insight 2.0’ project by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to build an artificial intelligence-powered programme aimed at modernising India’s national tax analytics platform.
The contract is valued at around ₹3,000 crore and will be executed over a period of seven years.
Under the mandate, LTIMindtree will leverage advanced digital architecture, data analytics and AI technologies to deliver real-time insights that will support policymakers in tax administration and enforcement.
The project is expected to significantly enhance the analytical capabilities of the Income Tax Department by enabling faster, data-driven decision-making at scale.
As per the regulatory filing, this award reinforces LTIMindtree’s position in large-scale government digital transformation programmes and highlights its growing role in deploying AI-led solutions for public-sector platforms.
The said project underscores its expertise in building complex, mission-critical digital systems using modern data and analytics frameworks.
In August 2025, LTImindtree was also awarded the Permanent Account Number (PAN) 2.0 project by the Central Board of Direct Taxes, to enhance the PAN issuance process and security through technology-driven innovation.
LTIMindtree shares were trading at ₹6,305 on the BSE at 11:40 am IST on Friday.
