  • A.The user is not required to give any input of the photo identity card details of any of the passengers while booking the ticket. However he shall have to carry and show one of following identity card of any of the passengers in original while travelling.
    The following photo identity cards are considered valid.


    Passport.
    Voter photo identity card issued by Election Commission of India.
    Driving Licence issued by RTO
    Pan Card issued by Income Tax Department.
    Photo Identity card having serial number issued by Central / State Government.
    Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School/College for their students.
    Nationalized Bank Passbook with photographs.
    Credit Cards issued by Banks with laminated photograph.
    Unique Identification Card “Aadhaar”, m-Aadhaar, e-Aadhaar.
    Photo identity cards having serial number issued by public sector Undertakings of State/Central Government, District Administrations, Municipal bodies and Panchayat Administrations.
    Passenger showing the Aadhaar/Driving Licence from the “Issued Document” section by logging into his/her DigiLocker account considered as valid proof of identity (Documents uploaded by the user i.e. the document in “Uploaded Document” section will not be considered as a valid proof of identity).
A. All payment options have been grouped under specific categories (viz. Credit cards, Net banking, Wallets and Multiple payment service etc.) Select the desired Payment Option from the displayed Payment gateway menus. Click on “Make Payment” buttonfor redirection to selected Bank website.
A. E-Tickets (Reservations) can be cancelled only through IRCTC eTicketing website. To cancel your e-ticket log on to www.irctc.co.in and go to My Account=>My Transactions=>Booked ticket Historylink and select the ticket to be cancelled and then initiate the cancellation by selecting the passengers to be cancelled. Cancellation would be confirmed online and the refund would be credited back to the account used for booking as for normal Internet tickets. If there is any partial cancellation of ticket please ensure that the modified ticket (Electronic Reservation Slip) is printed separately as for the original ticket. A. One of the passenger booked on an E-ticket in a PNR is required to present any of the ten identity cards noted below in original during the train journey and same will be accepted as a proof of identity failing which the passenger will be treated as travelling without ticket and shall be dealt as per extant Railway Rules. A.Presently this facility is not available for internet tickets
A. Student concession facility is not available for e-Ticket. However, Divyaang passengers having Photo Identity card issued by Railways can avail the concession on online e-Ticket booking through IRCTC. Similarly, Journalist passengers having Photo Identity card issued by Railways can avail the concession on online e-Ticket booking through IRCTC.

A. Tatkal bookings are allowed in all classes except First AC and Executive class.

A. Ladies and general quota cannot be opted for along with Tatkal quota.                                                                                                                                                         

You have to select the Tatkal check box in the ‘Plan my travel’ page along with other details for booking tatkal ticket. For some trains/class/locations Tatkal quota maynot be available. Please check the availability before proceeding further.

No concession is allowed in Tatkal Booking.

Tatkal charges per passenger in addition to normal ticket.

The Tatkal Charges have been fixed as a percentage of fare at the rate of 10% of basic fare for second class and 30% of basic fare for all other classes subject to minimum and maximum as given in the table below:-

 A. Tatkal E-ticket can be booked for selected trains one day in advance excluding date of journey from the train originating station. It can be booked on the opening day from 10:00 hrs for AC class (2A/3A/CC/EC/3E) and at 11:00 hrs for Non- AC class(SL/FC/2S). e .g. if train is to depart from originating station on 2nd August, Tatkal Booking will Commence at 10:00 AM and for Non AC class will Commence at 11:00 AM on 1st August.

 A. Tatkal tickets will be issued for actual distance of travel, instead of end-to-end, subject to the distance restriction applicable to the train. The same Tatkal berth/seat may be booked in multiple legs till preparation of charts.For some trains/class/locations Tatkal quota may not be available. Please check the availability before booking.

A. No refund will be granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. For contingent cancellation & waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations, charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules..
